Christopher Adams

Adams Family Farm

Christopher Adams is partner at Adams Family Farm in Grand Forks, ND., where he grew up. Following high school, he earned a Biology pre-health degree from the University of North Dakota. Upon graduation Christopher had a decision to make, continue on his current path to dental school or to join the family operation. His decision was to farm with his father in the Adams Family Farm operation, becoming the fourth generation Adams to continue the farming tradition.

Together with his father, Christopher has worked to substantially increase the size of the growing operation to over 8,500 tillable acres within both North Dakota and Minnesota. Understanding the challenges of the current farm economy, Chris introduced state-of-the-art drone footage technology into the operation as well as new ideas for crop rotations and cover crops to reduce soil erosion and reduce the need for granular fertilizer. He also brought new varieties of edible beans as well as industrial hemp into the crop rotation and spearheaded the purchase of a bean processing operation that enables them to not only sew and nurture, but also to clean, bag, and market their edible bean crop through export worldwide.

Christopher has traveled to several international locations on trade missions including Colombia, Peru, and The Philippines with additional trade missions in his future. He has hosted several international purchasing groups from multiple countries as well.

In his free time, Chris spends time with his wife, Kelsey, and their two daughters Olivia and Audrey as well as his Bernedoodle, Ralph, named after his great-grandfather Ralph Adams, first generation farmer.
