Darren is Director of Carbon & Sustainability for Trimble Agriculture Enterprise Solutions. He grew up on a mixed cattle and grain farm in Southern Alberta, Canada. As an agronomist and business manager he has led agronomy, sales and business teams through times of growth and expansion. 

For 15 years Darren helped shape and lead Agri-Trend, an agronomic and marketing consulting company. He directed the conversion and further development of Agri-Trend’s proprietary software to an internet based “Agri-Data Solution” database. Agri-Trend started its Carbon aggregation business in 2007 and continues today.  As a project developer and aggregator, this business continues to deliver millions of dollars to thousands of farmers annually. 

Shortly after Trimble acquired Agri-Trend in 2015, Darren was named the General Manager of the newly formed Trimble Ag Business Solutions Division. As the leader of the software and services of Trimble’s Agricultural division, he led the development and integration of Trimble’s farm management and precision agriculture software platforms for farmers, advisors, ag businesses and food processors.  Today as Director, Carbon and Sustainability for Trimble Agriculture, Darren is working with farmers, and ag businesses around the world as the ag industry navigates the rapid pace of change in adopting, documenting and monetizing sustainable farming practices.
