Sally Flis is the Senior Manager, Sustainability Field with Nutrien Ag Solutions. In this role, Sally is responsible for engagement of Nutrien Ag Solutions retail business with sustainability initiatives across the United States. Sally joined Nutrien Ag Solutions in January 2021 and has been working in that time with growers and crop consultants across the U.S. on the implementation of sustainability programs around carbon emissions, carbon sequestration, and improved crop production efficiency.
Prior to working at Nutrien Ag Solutions, Sally was the Senior Director of Agronomy at The Fertilizer Institute (TFI) in Washington D.C. While at TFI, Sally worked on the expansion of 4R Nutrient Stewardship programs in the U.S., including language in the 2018 Farm Bill to include a new high priority research area on the source, rate, timing, and placement of fertilizer nutrients. Sally started her career in agriculture working with growers in Vermont and New York to implement CAFO nutrient management plans and is currently enjoying reconnecting with growers in her role at Nutrien Ag Solutions. Sally is passionate about agricultural sustainability and economic sustainability of growers in the U.S.
