Emily Smith is the Community Engagement Coordinator/Digital Producer for Trust In Food. Focused on curating content that not only reaches food producers, but stakeholders across the sustainable agri-food value chain, Emily manages all external communications from the organization and for the USDA/NRCS partnership, America’s Conservation Ag Movement. She applies her experience building community to both: help farmers celebrate their resource stewardship and share learnings with sustainability-focused organizations to advance their support of farmers’ conservation journeys.

Before joining Trust In Food in 2020, Emily worked as the senior communications coordinator for an ag-related, non-profit organization managing their social networking accounts, writing articles, creating educational materials, and assisting with the production of television episodes for RFD-TV.

Emily is currently pursuing a master’s degree at Purdue University in communications and holds a bachelor’s degree in animal science from California State University, Chico. Emily resides in Minneapolis, Minn., with her family.
