Trey Davis serves as a Managing Partner of Davis Family Farms located in Doerun, Georgia. The Davis Family operation produces cotton, peanuts, corn, and wheat as well as running purebred Angus and Hereford cattle. Trey, alongside his father, brother, and sister, oversees the bountiful 8,000-acres in the heart of cotton and peanut country. With a political science background from Georgia State University, Trey’s day-to-day includes financial management, HR, long term planning, and marketing/hedging/risk management. 

The Davis operation puts a great deal of emphasis on employing the latest technologies available to produce maximum yield while being optimum stewards of the environment. Their efforts were recognized by Quail Forever and Pheasant Forever as the recipient of the 2021 Precision Farmer of the Year Award, sponsored by John Deere.  With a vast array of experience showing cattle during his upbringing, Trey was an avid competitor on the National Junior Angus Show Circuit and had the privilege to serve on the National Junior Angus Board 2007-2009. His involvement in areas across the agricultural field allow him to serve as an integral part of modernizing not only his family’s farm, but the industry as a whole.
